On a Roll!

(Late August 2019 newsletter) — The Argo has been on a roll since returning from our repower hiatus. Fishing on all fronts has been outstanding and our anglers have been fortunate to reap the rewards.

Starting with the first week back finding limits of halibut and striped bass in the bay, to our most recent ventures chasing salmon in the ocean you could not ask for a more productive summer.

Salmon have been on the radar for the past week resulting in daily scores of limits and near limits of fish ranging from 10 to 25 pounds. In the past four days we have not hooked a salmon less than 10 pounds. 

Our last trips on the bay found quick limits of striped bass as they boiled to the surface with baits getting chewed as quick as you could get them in the water. There was even a day of halibut limits as well. Of course, this does not happen every day, but results on both species are solid most days.

As for what we have coming up, the Argo is booked on weekends into the last weekend of September. There may be one or two spaces available within that period.
